The Moon Jellyfish
A poem
in the water, honeycombs of light flicker as the moon jellyfish pulse gently. their bodies, soft luminous plumes fluttering in the ocean tide as the petals of camellias do in the shadow of the mountain side. their tentacles as thin as the moment between the beginning and end of a lightning strike. their rhythm mirrors the march of the golden clouds, yet they've never seen the great blue sky. their gentle pulse lulls my own into a trance like the moon lulls the sea. and for a moment, we share the same heartbeat.

“their tentacles as thin
as the moment between
the beginning and end
of a lightning strike.” a great stanza, Vanessa!
Venessa, I remember this beautiful poem from Medium. I smiled when I read it again.
